The CRC, International Leadership Foundation (ILF) and Office of the Chairman, Council of the District of Columbia host the ILF 2009 Public Service Fellowship Dinner on Monday June 29, 2009

Dear City/Community Leaders and Friends,

 

The Chinatown Revitalization Council (CRC), International Leadership Foundation (ILF) and Office of the Chairman, Council of the District of Columbia will be hosting the ILF 2009 Public Service Fellowship Enrichment Dinner at 6:30pm on Monday June 29, 2009.

 

Yes! It’s FREE and NOT a fundraising event.  This Fellowship dinner is mainly to offer insightful information and networking for many chosen students of the 2009 Public Service Fellowship program sponsored by the International Leadership Foundation (ILF).

  

This exciting dinner event features a great speaker, Honorable Vincent Gray, Chairman of the Council of the District of Columbia and a panel discussion with distinguished guests on politics and community.  We are inviting you to join and share your invaluable experience with our young fellows.

 

In addition, this will be a wonderful opportunity for you to renew and build relationships within the DC community. The event will be held at:

Dear City Leaders, Members, Friends and Neighbors,

 

We are very pleased to inform you that the Chinatown Revitalization Council (CRC) is hosting the second annual Mayor’s "State of the Chinatown Address” and community dialogue with the aim to communicate the District government’s progress, challenges and action plans for stimulating cultural economic development and overall betterment in and around the DC Chinatown areas.   This 2nd Annual Mayor’s “State of the Chinatown Address” will be held at Wah-Luk House (800 6th Street NW) on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 7:00-9:00PM. Refreshment will be provided during networking hours from 9:00-9:30PM.

 

The objectives of this meeting are as follows:

  • Provide an update on cultural-economic development and key community concerns raised in the last Address (Feb. 25, 2008)
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in City services and programs in the Chinatown area
  • Determine collaboration/partnership opportunities among the City with civic organizations, residents and businesses
  • Build consensus on the future directions of the Chinatown in the year of 2009 (Ox)

 

We take great pleasure in inviting you or a representative from your organization to participate in the Mayor’s annual address and join open dialogue with Mayor Fenty, DC Council Chairman Gray, At-Large Councilmember K. Brown, Ward 2 Councilmember Evans, Ward 6 Councilmember Wells and many top officials, civic and business leaders.

 

We eagerly look forward to your participation and will appreciate receiving a response to this letter of invitation by February 16, 2009.
